Students must complete a new Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) every year. Students do not have to be enrolled full-time (12+ hours) to receive federal aid. Generally, students will be eligible for federal aid if they are enrolled in at least six semester hours. ¿Û¿Û´«Ã½â€™s school code is 040414.
The FAFSA is an application for all federal aid programs.Federal student and parent loans require a FAFSA to be completed each year. The Federal Parent PLUS Loan requires an additional application to be completed by the parent on StudentAid.gov.Ìý

Complete the FAFSA every year as possible after it opens on October 1.
Students may file electronically at .Ìý You must apply for an FSA ID at least three days prior to completing the FAFSA. All contributors to the FAFSA must have their own You, and all contributors to the FAFSA, must consent to the use of the Direct Data Exchange with the IRS, even if you did not file taxes. You will also receive an email confirmation and FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) upon completion of your application. The FSS provides a summary of your submitted answers, your Student Aid Index (SAI), and any next steps. Be sure to review your FSS for errors and make corrections as needed.
You will use tax information from the previous tax year to complete your FAFSA. For instance, aid year 2026-2027, you will use the 2024 tax information to complete the FAFSA.
Check your campus-assigned email at least once per week for additional document requests (missing documents). You will also receive an email, at your campus assigned email address, when your financial aid offer is ready for viewing. You only need to submit your award if you will be accepting student loans. . Grants and scholarships are automatically accepted.

Processing deadlines must be met to ensure financial aid is available by the payment due date. Students who do not meet the deadlines must pay for all billed expenses using their own resources. You may still submit documentation after the deadline, however aid offers may be delayed.Loan requests submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Promissory Notes and Entrance Counseling received after the deadline may not be processed in time for the funds to be released by the end of the semester.
